Nikos Tripatsas has been appointed as Acting General Manager of the Cyprus Stock Exchange, since May 2017. He used to hold the position of the Chief Officer of the Organization.
He was recruited at the Cyprus Stock Exchange, in 1994. Since then, he was involved in and he was in charge of, a number of new projects for the business development of the CSE (automation – dematerialization, establishment of a central registry /depository, new markets services and products, electronic trading on a remote basis, legislative and regulatory issues, amendments/ additions, listing and trading issues and introduction of new indices, promotional activities of CSE, development of international co-operation of the CSE, administration issues etc). He has extensive experience regarding various issues of the Exchange and the securities market in general.
Nikos is a Director at the European Central Securities Depositories Association (ECSDA) representing the CSE as full member of this Organization. Furthermore, he is a member of the Audit Committee of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS). He holds a B.Sc in Business Administration from the Athens Economics University (ASOEE) and an MBA, from Stirling University in Scotland.
