Thursday, 12 July 2018

Cristina Timis (Cris-Tim), Teofil Muresan (Electrogrup), Felix Patrascanu (FAN Courier), Marius Stefan (Autonom Rent-a-Car), Cristian Logofatu (Bittnet) and Radu Constantinescu (Qualitance) will be the key speakers at Made in Romania Entrepreneurs Forum, organized by the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), on August 1st, at Intercontinental Hotel from Bucharest

During the Made in Romania Entrepreneurs Forum, the successful entrepreneurs will be trainers, they will share their experience and together with the other participants at the event will search for solutions to the issues faced by the entrepreneurial companies.

“We would like to bring together as many entrepreneurs, consultants, investors as possible through the two events, Made in Romania Entrepreneurs Forum and the Made in Romania project, to provide them the possibility to sit at the same table so they can work together for a sustainable development of the business environment. In the developed economies, the maturity test that a company has to pass is the listing on a stock exchange, because that company is being evaluated by the investors and thus is being set its market value. Being listed on a stock exchange is the company’s chance to keep its place as one of the leaders in its activity domain. In the last years, several Romanian entrepreneurial companies have passed this test, therefore we can say the Bucharest Stock Exchange has examples of success stories”, stated Lucian Anghel, President of the Board of Governors of BVB.

The Forum comes after the success of Bucharest Entrepreneurship Forum (March 2017) and of the two editions of Made in Romania: BVB League (from 2017 and 2018) and it is part of the series of events initiated by the Bucharest Stock Exchange aimed at promoting the Romanian entrepreneurship community, which starting from this year is organized under “Made in Romania” umbrella.

“The entrepreneurial culture is still at its beginning in Romania, we still are in the learning phase and through Made in Romania Entrepreneurs Forum our aim is to learn from each other, because if we are not learning from the experiences of those who have succeeded, we risk being wrong and therefore we will not be able to achieve the next stage of the sustainable development. This is an advantage we all have to use it. The know-how of the successful entrepreneurs can also be used and adapted by early-stage startup ventures. In order to support the entrepreneurs we will improve the Made in Romania program so that it will become a pillar of the Romanian entrepreneurial community”, stated Adrian Tanase, CEO of Bucharest Stock Exchange.

In the recent years, the Bucharest Stock Exchange has focused on developing the local business environment, relying on a close collaboration with the entrepreneurs, retail and institutional investors as well as with other participants in the capital markets and Made in Romania remains the flagship of the Bucharest Stock Exchange initiatives for entrepreneurs. During the two editions of Made in Romania program, the Bucharest Stock Exchange and its partners have analyzed over 300 companies that have a significant contribution in Romania’s economy, some of them having potential to become regional champions, especially when taking into account some companies have already started to extend their business abroad.

The Forum will take place on August 1st, starting from 09:30 AM, at Intercontinental Hotel from Bucharest. The agenda of the event is public on the above-mentioned website.
