The Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges holds “Meet the Market with FEAS | Securities Market of Armenia” Virtual Event

Online Event, 2021:  On March 17, 2021, The Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges (FEAS), alongside with its members Armenia Securities Exchange and Central Depository of Armenia, held the “Meet the Market with FEAS | Securities Market of Armenia” virtual event.

The event is organised for the first time:  the purpose of the initiative is to organize virtual Meetings/Roadshows for FEAS members’ markets to raise awareness about the market structures, operations, processes and benefits, and give the answer to the question “Why to Invest in a specific country”? The one-day online event has gathered together more than 140 participants, who span the globe from Asia to Europe and Middle East, the participants were representatives of Investment Banks, Stock Exchanges, Brokerage Firms, Asset Managers, Funds, International Corporations, as well as local Market Participants, Issuers and Representatives of the Ministry of Finance.

The event was opened by FEAS Deputy Secretary General Ms. Armenuhi Hovakimyan, who introduced the concept and rules of the meeting. After the opening remarks, Dr. Konstantin Saroyan, FEAS Secretary General presented the Macro Data of Armenia and highlighted some key facts. The presentation about the Securities Market of Armenia was made by the CEO of Armenia Securities Exchange, Mr. Hayk Yeganyan. Hayk presented an in-depth outlook of Armenia’s capital markets, the attractiveness of it and the business opportunities in Armenia within the capital markets industry.

The presentation was followed by Q&A Session, where participants actively asked questions to the representatives of Armenia Securities Exchange. 

During the last part of the event, the participants were divided into three separate rooms: participants in the main room continued the discussion with the representatives of Armenian Securities Exchange and Central Depository of Armenia; participants in the second room had a discussion with the Market Participants of Armenia; participants in the third room met the Issuers from Armenia.

Dr. Konstantin Saroyan, FEAS Secretary General said: “Today we celebrate another important day for the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges, as today we mark the launch of FEAS New Initiative “Meet the Market with FEAS”.  The very first event is organized for our distinguished members Armenia Securities Exchange and Central Depository of Armenia, to present the Securities Market of Armenia to the world. I hereby would like to thank all our members and partners for participating in the FEAS New Initiative, and congratulate them for the successful meeting!

COVID-19 global pandemic challenged all of us, but at the same time, it showed us that there is still a room to develop and to take advantage of the current situation. Through our different programmes  and initiatives, we help our members drive and anchor positive change in more than 20 countries around the world. The “Meet the Market with FEAS” events have a long journey to go, to open a discussion platform for all the FEAS Members from various countries. With this promising news ahead, the FEAS will continue to develop its mission, to promote cooperation, development, collaboration and promotion of the capital markets of the Eurasian region”.
