2nd Quarter Review

On May 16-17, 2006 a Conference for the FEAS Working Committee was held in Chisinau, Moldova.  The conference was attended by 22 representatives from 15 regional countries. During the conference,     many things were discussed including the creation of a regional index.  The results of these discussions were the formation of a new Task Force, which will work toward the goal of a regional index for FEAS. New Index may be completed by the end of 2006, according to the Secretary General of FEAS, Mr. Aril Seren.

On June 10, 2006 New Listing Requirements were put into effect at the Moldovan Stock Exchange.

On June 26, 2006 the Moldavian Stock Exchange celebrated its 11th year birthday.  In the past 11 years, 30,825 transactions took place, the volume of transactions totaled 287.8 million dollars and the amount of shares traded was 547.9 millions.
