Health Day highlights importance of active lifestyle for Boursa Kuwait and Kuwait Clearing Company employees

Event held in collaboration with Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Company falls under ‘Community’ pillar

of Boursa Kuwait’s Corporate Sustainability strategy

Kuwait, November 10, 2019: In keeping with its commitment to wellness in the Kuwaiti
community, Boursa Kuwait recently hosted a ‘Health Day’ for both Boursa Kuwait and Kuwait Clearing
Company’s employees in collaboration with Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Company
(AAW).
As part of the campaign, to raise awareness and understanding about health risks resulting from
sedentary behaviours, pharmacists from Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa pharmacies conducted blood
pressure and glucose screenings for employees.
Boursa Kuwait has been championing initiatives that aim to enhance and improve the health and
welfare of the community. These initiatives are closely aligned with its Corporate Sustainability strategy
and are driven by a belief that the company can achieve sustained growth only by ensuring the physical,
mental, and social wellbeing of both internal and external stakeholders. Leveraging the diverse
capabilities of its partners, the company will continue to take on new efforts to deliver on its
commitment to giving back to society and creating a meaningful impact on people in the country and
across the world.
Hosting ‘Health Day’ falls under the ‘Community’ pillar of Boursa Kuwait’s Corporate Sustainability
strategy, with ‘Education’ and ‘Environment’ being the other pillars. The company has rolled out several
corporate sustainability initiatives, including investor relations seminars and workshops in partnership
with the Middle East Investor Relations Association (MEIRA)-Kuwait Chapter; a slew of agreements
with universities in Kuwait to advance capital market awareness among students; the launch of the
Boursa Academy Online digital education portal; and a partnership with Omniya, the leading plastic
bottle recycling project in Kuwait, in an effort to raise awareness of the importance of recycling.
