EGX Hosts the Graduation Ceremony of Portfolio Managers

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) hosted the graduation ceremony of certified portfolio
managers provided by Egyptian Investment Management Association (EIMA). The event
was attended by EIMA’s management, Dr. Khaled Serry Syam, former chairman of EGX
& current member of its board and Mr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, chairman of EGX.
Mr. Saleh stressed on the importance of investing in the capacity building of calibers of
the capital market and its strong impact on the market’s development. He added,
“being certified is just the beginning and we expect a lot of development in this area
which in turn will be reflected on the market”
Ahmed Abu ElSaad, Secretary General of EIMA said that the association is now providing
advanced courses to build a new generation capable of managing investments and
assets efficiently and professionally, taking into consideration the social responsibility
aspect and accordingly putting society’s development as a priority rather than profit.
Dr Khaled Seri Siam said that the capital market industry is witnessing major changes in
the legislative and regulatory fronts stressing that qualified trained calibers in the
market is a fundamental for this development.
