Kazakhstan Stock Exchange Hold the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders

On May 30, 2024, the annual general meeting of shareholders (AGM) of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange took place.
According to the common decision of shareholders, KASE will distribute 50 % of net income for 2023 – 9.3 billion tenge – as dividends. Thus, the dividend amount per common share will be 8,611.30 tenge.
KASE’s net income for 2023, according to the audited consolidated statements, totaled 18.5 billion tenge. Of these, 50 % will be spent on the development of the Exchange.

This decision was made in accordance with the Exchange’s Dividend Policy based on a recommendation of the Board of Directors.

During the AGM, it was also decided to change the composition of KASE’s Board of Directors, update the dividend policy, accept the reports “On the Exchange’s activities in 2023” and “On sustainable development in 2023”, and approve the audited financial statements for 2023.
We’d like to note that the total volume of trading on KASE in 2023 amounted to 411 trillion tenge increasing by 57 % YoY. 1.4 million transactions were concluded during the reporting year, which is up 53 % YoY. The value of KASE Index based on results of the past year increased by 28.8% to 4,187.4 points. The equity market capitalization increased by 26.4 % to 26.7 trillion tenge over the year.
