ON JANUARY-MARCH OF 2009 THE TURNOVER OF CREDIT SECTION OF BAKU INTERBANK CURRENCY EXCHANGE HAS EXCEEDED BY 17.64%

On January-March of 2009 the turnover of the credit section of Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BBVB) has exceeded the volume of credits for the first quarter of 2008 by 17,64%. The degree of the activity of the participants of credit market  can also be judged by the quantity of the transactions at Organized Interbank Credit Market (OICM). For the accounting period at OICM, functioning in the framework of the Bourse E-System Trades (BEST) 28 transactions are conducted, against 24 transactions at the first quarter of last year. Crediting at OICM at the first quarter of this year was realized on the whole in EUR – 60,02% from the total sum. 31,17% was on the part of credits in manats, the rest in dollars of USA.
By information on 01.04.2009 the average rate on placing of 90-days credits (BakIBOR –Baku Interbank Offered Rate), counting up by the exchange on the basis of demands of market makers of OICM has made on manat means – 16,51% yearly, but on dollar credits – 17,06% yearly. In comparison with the indicators on 01.03.2009 the index of BakIBOR on manat credits increased on 0,98, but on dollars on 0,97 percentage point.
