AFE honors EGX’s chairman for chairing the federation during the last period

The Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE) honored Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and former chairman of the Arab Federation of Exchanges for his previous period of chairmanship of the AFE during the past 2 years, from March 2019 to April 2021.

Dr. Mohammed Farid, Executive Chairman of EGX, thanked the Arab Federation of Exchanges for this gesture wishing the AFE under the leadership of Saudi Arabia continued success and development.

Rami Al-Dakani, Secretary General of AFE, thanked Dr. Mohamed Farid for all his efforts as the chairman of the AFE for address all the obstacles faced during the COVID-19, pointing out that the period of Egypt’s presidency succeeded in directing the AFE  towards a stable path in the long term, by formulating policies that contribute to the development of its businesses and activities in order to promote and facilitate inter-Arab investments, as well as the development of a joint cooperation platform for the exchange of experiences and opinions among all parties with The connection.

During Egypt’s presidency, the Federation held the election of its first board of directors as an unprecedented strategic step signing an institutional transformation process within the Federation. 

The Arab Federation of Exchanges (AFE) was established in 1978 on the recommendation of the Central Bank Governors Conference sponsored by the Arab League in 1997, with the membership of only four Arab exchanges at the time, with the aim of facilitating the exchange of technical aid between members, coordinating existing laws and regulations and overcoming the difficulties facing Inter-Arab investment.”
