On June 21, 2018, Andrey Tsalyuk, Deputy Chairman of the KASE Management Board, delivered a speech at the session “The impact of sustainable development on financial stability and risk calculation” at the 25th World Mining Congress in Astana.

At the event, Andrey Tsalyuk told the audience about KASE rules on submission of reports by listed companies and members of the Exchange including not only financial reports but also report based on the ESG criteria (Environmental, Social and Governance).

KASE has developed the Methodology for preparation of ESG criteria based reporting and put it into effect as of December 1, 2016 while joining the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative. This methodology includes recommendations and principles for preparation of comprehensive reporting by listed companies and members of the Exchange.

KASE has updated this methodology in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) on March 15, 2018. Currently, the Methodology is of recommendatory nature.
