Astana International Exchange and Saudi Stock Exchange agree to Cooperate

AIX and the Saudi Stock Exchange have signed a Memorandum of Understanding under which the two sides will facilitate the exchange of data and research in the field of FinTech, explore opportunities for cooperation in the development of the areas of sustainable development and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG). The two platforms also intend to exchange ideas on stock exchange products, education, IR and other issues.

AIX board chairman Renat Bekturov said that by signing a Memorandum with the Saudi Stock Exchange, AIX confirms its willingness to develop cooperation with foreign partners to create an integrated capital market.

“We are very pleased to establish a closer relationship with the largest exchange in the Middle East and to explore opportunities that will help both sides bring more value to our partners and clients,” Bekturov emphasized.
For his part, Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Rumaih, chairman of the Saudi Stock Exchange, added that the agreement with the AIFC exchange is another step toward creating a technologically advanced and diverse capital market.

“As a gateway to the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region for international investors, we continue to work with partners around the world to share information and provide access to the largest capital market in the region,” he concluded.
