The first day of this week is entitled as “Financial Literacy” and the ceremony was held by TSE with the aim of supporting investors and their financial education and promoting financial literacy.

What is World Investment Week?

World Investor Week (WIW) is a week-long, global campaign promoted by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) to raise awareness about the importance of investor’s education and protection, and highlight various initiatives of securities regulators in these two critical areas. In October, IOSCO securities regulators and other IOSCO members on six continents will provide a range of activities, such as launching investor-focused communications and services, promoting contests to increase awareness of investor education initiatives, organizing workshops and conferences, and conducting local/national campaigns in their own jurisdictions.

WIW offers a unique opportunity for IOSCO members to work in collaboration with all investor education and protection stakeholders, at both the local and international levels.

It should be noted that WIW dates from October 5 to 11, in which small investors, investment professionals, teachers, parents, researchers and other interested parties, as well as companies, legislatures and organizations are supported to make an effort to promote investor’s education, especially in this global week.
