Bucharest Stock Exchange has a new CEO

“Valentin Ionescu, 38 years old, whose professional career is linked over the last 15 years with BVB, brings the experience gained on Prague and Vienna stock markets. He held positions with famous financial institutions, like Euro Invest Bank AG Vienna and Wood & Company Financial Services a.s. Prague  
Valentin Ionescu holds an MBA degree from CNAM Paris, a BA and an MA from Academy in Economics in Bucharest. He has also studied “Finance-Portofolio management” at Georgetown University, USA, and has a “Banking management” diploma issued by CODECS Romania.
 
 
Mr. Valentin Ionescu stated:”The position of CEO at Bucharest Stock Exchange honours me, but in the same time is a great responsability. My entire career was  connected, for the last 15 years , to the local capital market, and recently with Prague and Vienna regional markets. I want to contribute with all my efforts to the development of Bucharest SE, so that we reach a competitive regional level, become a good liquidity provider for both companies and investors, and hence fulfill our role of financing our economy.”
