Dr. Cavalier Speech at TSE

Regarding the invitation of Tehran Stock Exchange, Dr. Georges A. J. Cavalier Jr., law professor from France, gave his speech on September 29, 2010 among directors and experts of Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE), Iran’s Securities and Exchange Organization (SEO), Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) and the Central Securities Depository (CSD). In his lecture of two parts, he overviewed the main actors of the Securities Market in France and introduced NYSE Euronext and Multilateral Trading Facilities (MTFs), as well as the recent developments like ratification of Alternext Rules in 2009. In the other part, Dr. Cavalier considered tender offer in a comparative perspective (USA and France), and then discussed with the participants about the Iranian capital market law. George Cavalier is an Associate Professor of law at the University of Jean Moulin Lyon 3, the Academic Director for International Programs (North America), and the Director of Master in Business Law and Taxation.
