EGX Chairman & Dr. Ali Gomaa Ring trading bell in Celebration of Egypt’s Orphans Day

As part of its sustainability activities, The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) organized its annual celebration of orphanage day by ringing the bell for opening trading session today. The event was attended by 5 orphanage homes and about 50 children in the presence of Dr. Ali Gomaa, former Grand Mufti of Egypt & Mohamed Farid Saleh, EGX Chairman.
Commenting on this, Mohamed Farid Saleh stated that celebrating this day is becoming of vital importance to Egypt and to EGX in specific as it is a documentation of its efforts in unifying the CSR activities of the capital market in this area.
He added that EGX was able to collect EGP 1.3 Million, EGP150, 000 of which are from EGX foundation for Sustainable Development. Farid thanked all the listed companies that sponsored this event.
From his side, Dr. Ali Gomaa said that holding this celebration every year is a favored religious activity. He added “Merging the orphans in the society is their right and is beneficial to the society”.
