EGX concludes its training Program for Iraq Stock Exchange (ISX)

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) concluded its training program to Iraq Stock Exchange (ISX) Leaders as part of the implementation of MoU signed in October 2020, during the meeting of the Joint High Committee headed by Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouli with its Iraqi counter parties in Baghdad-Iraq.

Dr. Mohammed Farid, Executive Chairman of EGX, held a virtual meeting with General Manager of Iraq Stock Exchange and its board of governors in December 2020, to discuss the prospects of joint cooperation and improving the level of coordination between the two markets.

The program, held electronically, was attended by about 30 from ISX for 4 days covering listing rules and regulations, overview of disclosure in EGX, overview of the custodians in the Egyptian marke, as well as a highlighting of new indicators developed at EGX to measure market performance and methodologies in this regard.

Dr. Mohammed Farid, Executive Chairman of EGX, said that EGX’s management is ready to support all kinds of cooperation with the Iraqi party, providing all the support needed in the technical issues related to the development the Iraqi stock market.
