EGX Signs MoU for Financial Literacy with BUE

Dr. Mohammed Farid, Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Professor Dr. Mohammed Lotfi, President of the British University in Egypt (BUE), to enhance financial awareness on basics of saving and investing for BUE students.  

As part of the meeting and celebration of cooperation between EGX and BUE, Dr. Mohammed Farid inaugurated the first unit educating students on investing in the capital market at BUE.  The unit comprises the latest knowledge and practices of investing, its financial and technical analysis skills and all related subjects to the process of investment and correct trading in the Egyptian Capital Markets.  

Dr. Mohamed Farid, Executive Chairman of EGX, said that signing MoU with BUE is a continuation of EGX’s plan for financial literacy and developing the Egyptian Capital Market in a sustainable way.  He added that EGX pays great attention to the Financial Literacy of the Egyptian society, especially students of universities and schools.

Dr. Mohamed Lotfi, President of BUE, expressed his enthusiasm for this cooperation with EGX, saying, “I am honored to stand here today and see the vision of Professor Mohamed Farid Khamis, founder of BUE continuing by the launch of the first integrated academic unit for financial awareness in Egyptian universities and the Middle East, as part of the ambitious strategy undertaken by the University and the Faculty of Economics, Political Science and Business Administration to develop the educational and research process as well as strengthen partnerships and community work.”

He stressed that BUE is always ensuring that its students receive a distinguished education and practical and scientific experience based on interaction and follow-up developments in the local and global context.

The signing of MoU ceremony was attended by officials of the University, including Professor Wadooda Badran, Dean of Business Administration, Economics & Political Science, and Professor Hadia Fakhreddin, vice Dean of teaching & learning of Faculty of Business Administration, Economics & political Science.
