IFB CEO Met with LuxSE Authorities after ICT Spring

Iran Fara Bourse CEO, Amir Hamooni, and Secretary General of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, Maurice Bauer, met with each other one day after the event.

At this meeting, Hamooni presented a report on the history of IFB, referred to the experiences of Iran’s capital market in designing and issuing various types of Islamic Sukuk, and described the nature of the SEO’s Shariah Board.

Bauer elaborated on the programs and missions of Luxembourg Stock Exchange, World’s First Green Exchange and one of the most important members of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), like listing of international and green bonds, issuing different kinds of Islamic securities and joining the Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative launched by UN in 2009.

At the end of the meeting, the sides have agreed on the continuation of negotiations on the joint listing of bonds and signing of a bilateral MoU.

Delegations from IFB attended ICT Spring, a yearly event held in Luxembourg City which is dedicated to exhibit the latest relevant innovations, to get on top of what is happening in the industry. Also, WikiNiki an Iranian startup advising benefactors on their humanitarian activities who won the Finstars2018 prize last month pitched its idea.
