The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) participates in the activities of the International Day for Autism in collaboration with the Egyptian Society for Autism. From his side, Dr. Mohamed Omran, EGX chairman stressed on the need to unite all efforts to fight this disease, noting the need to integrate those who suffer from the disease within the community to take part in the community and employ their energy and potential.
Dr. Omran added that the role of the stock exchange is not only financing projects, but it is concerned at this stage with how to lead the business community to be more positively involvement in issues related to sustainability. On top of which the issues related the important issues such as the women empowerment, orphans and autism, and will soon participate in the Earth Day initiative on environmental conservation.
Worth mentioning, EGX is a founding member of the United Nations Initiative for Sustainable Stock Exchanges under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary-General, which stresses on the importance of the role and participation of stock exchanges in the issues of sustainable development and the provision of funding necessary to achieve the goals of development.
