Istanbul Stock Exchange – Turkcell cooperation: Company Disclosures on your mobile

Monday, 21 March 2011

Public Disclosure Platform (PDP)-Mobile Information Service, product of the joint efforts of Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) and Turkcell, has been launched today. Investors that subscribe to the service will have access to the company disclosures announced on the ISE’s PDP, via their Turkcell-operated mobile phones.

In the joint press conference held by the ISE and Turkcell on this occasion, Mr. Hüseyin ERKAN, ISE Chairman & CEO, said that the mobile information service is an important step within the framework of the Investor Awareness Campaign initiated by the ISE, and added, “Company disclosures required by the capital markets and Istanbul Stock Exchange regulations are sent by e-signature and announced on PDP. Henceforth, investors will have access to these disclosures via SMS, WAP, etc., that is, at any time and place as they may choose. I believe that the mobile information service will make a significant contribution to attract investors to the capital markets, and to create a wider and more conscious investor base.”

Mr. Koray ÖZTÜRKLER, Turkcell Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, expressed his pleasure for Turkcell’s pioneering role in PDP-Mobile Information Service, and added, “Mobile products and services transform our lives over and over again. At Turkcell, we strive to offer appropriate solutions for various needs, and thereby contribute to institutions and individuals alike in Turkey. Investors and brokerage houses will now have access to information from wherever they want. We are glad to see very important institutions like the Istanbul Stock Exchange transfer their services to the mobile platform.”

Through PDP-Mobile Information Service, investors that subscribe to the information packages for the companies they are interested in will have access to the relevant company disclosures announced on PDP, financial statements including the balance-sheet and income statements, as well as the announcements by the ISE, Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB), ISE Settlement and Custody Bank (Takasbank), and the Central Registry of Turkey, by SMS.
ISE continues to work in cooperation with the other GSM operators to provide similar services over their systems as well.
