Kazakhstan Stock Exchange Posted
KASE held a Strategic session attended by members of the Board of Directors and the Management Board of KASE, as well as experts from the Board of Directors, the Chairman of the Management Board of KASE Clearing Center JSC and the IT Managing Director of KASE.
🔸 During the Strategic session, the participants discussed KASE’s development prospects in view of current economic trends, the situation on world markets and geopolitical challenges.
🔸 The main topics of discussion were the regional development of the Exchange and the stock exchange infrastructure, the possibilities of digitalization of the stock exchange business and digital instruments, the potential of retail investors in the stock market and the development of the Central Counterparty institute.
🔸 Participants of the Strategic session shared their opinions on the possibility of launching new financial products and services of the Exchange, KASE’s readiness for the expected growth in the number of retail investors, the need to develop a regional expansion strategy and proactive business strategy of KASE Clearing Center JSC.
🔸 The Exchange successfully continues the implementation of the Development Strategy for 2022-2024 aimed at increasing liquidity in KASE’s markets, developing the Central Counterparty as a key infrastructure element, introducing innovations and technological modernization, increasing the value of the Exchange for stakeholders.
🔸 At the same time, in a rapidly changing world, KASE notes the need to regularly align its strategy with current challenges and market opportunities, as well as fine-tune and focus it on key development opportunities.
🔸 Ramil Mukhoryapov, co-founder of Chocofamily Holding, held a speech at the Strategy session as a guest speaker with a presentation called “What is a strategy?”.
🔸 Upon the end of the Strategic session, a meeting of the Budget and Strategic Planning Committee of KASE’s Board of Directors was held.
🔸 The Exchange’s BoD includes the following representatives:
– Yeldar Abdrazakov – a member of the BoD and KASE BoD’s committees on budget and strategic planning, personnel and remuneration. He owns the Centras Group holding, which includes insurance companies “Kommesk-Omir”, “Centras Kommesk Life”, “Centras Insurance”, as well as financial companies “Centras Securities” JSC, “Centras Capital” LLP, law firm “iLEX”, Medical Center “SOS” and Venture fund “Centras” JSC.
– Alina Aldambergen – a member of the BoD and Chairperson of KASE’s Management Board, a member of the National Council for Corporate Governance of the Presidium of NCE “Atameken”, ALE “Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan”, BoD of KASE Clearing Center JSC and Central Securities Depository JSC.
– Doron Israeli – a member of the BoD, independent director of KASE, Chairman of the Internal Audit Committee of the BoD, Professor of Arison School of Business, IDC Herzliya and Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business.
