Mr. Kadyrzhan Damitov Elected as KASE President

On April 30, 2009 the Exchange Council of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) elected Kadyrzhan Damitov (49) as KASE President for a two-year term. Beginning February 5, 2009 Mr. Damitov served as an Advisor to the Chairman of Alliance Bank (Almaty, Kazakhstan). Previous positions also included Vice-Minister of Economy and Trade, Advisor to the President and Prime-Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Deputy Chairman of ABN AMRO Bank Kazakhstan. The term of office of the current KASE President Mr. Joldasbekov expires on May 6, 2009.
