New Secretary General of FEAS Appointed by 16th General Assembly

During the 16th General Assembly, a new Secretary General of FEAS was appointed, Mr. Mustafa Baltaci, Executive Vice Chairman, Istanbul Stock Exchange.This appointment was made following the announcement of the retirment of Mr. Aril Seren and will be effective from January 1, 2011. 

Born in Ankara in 1973, Mr. BALTACI graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences in 1994. He earned an MA degree in public administration and a diploma in financial management from University of Pennsylvania in 2004. He started his career in the Turkish Prime Ministry Inspection Board, and worked as assistant inspector, inspector, chief inspector and deputy head of the Inspection Board of the Turkish Prime Ministry. He worked as analyst in the Governance Department of the World Bank in 2005-2006. Mr. BALTACI headed the Turkish Prime Ministry Regulatory Reform Group between 2006 and 2009, worked as advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of the Economy in 2008 and 2009, and as Audit Board member of Ziraat Bank between 2007 and 2009. Mr. BALTACI was appointed as the Istanbul Stock Exchange Executive Vice Chairman on June 11th, 2010.
