November Has Been the Month of IPOs for IFB

Iran Fara Bourse Second Market hosted three IPOs this month.

Shares of Ghaed Basir Petrochemical, Gohar Zamin Iron ore, and Iran Office Machines Industries (Maadiran Group) went public and priced at the high end of the price range this November.

Overall 14,056 million sheets worth US$ 1,847 million of securities changed hands on November 2018 on Iran Fara Bourse stock exchange up 152% and 18% from November 2017.

The Total number of trading days in November 2018 amounted to 18 days and the daily average volume of trades accounted for 780.9 million sheets worth US$102.6 million, posting a narrow loss as compared to October 2018 with 22 trading days.

In IFB listed equity market, First and Second markets witnessed the transaction of 7,008 million sheets worth US$ 766 million, up 176% and 286% respectively as compared to November 2017.

Meanwhile, the transaction of 6,696 million sheets in Base Market (B&C), i.e. Unlisted Equity, worth US$ 318 million rising from the same period last year.

Also, the total volume traded of the Listed securities or Structured Financial Products (i.e. ETFs, Mortgage Rights, Debt Market, and Underwriting) reached 322 million sheets worth US$ 759 million indicating an increase in both value and volume as compared to November 2017.

Finally, Base Metals and Chemical Products are the top two sectors in terms of the value of trades in the equity market (excluding block trades) contributing 18% & 13% to the total amount (value of trades) in the month that Iran Fara Bourse overall index, IFX, fell 12% to close at 1,777.5 on November 28.
