Takasbank begins allocation of internationally endorsed legal entity identifier codes via LeiTurkey web site

Takasbank was authorized by the Capital Markets Board of Turkey to be the pre-Local Operating Unit (p-LOU) in order to allocate and assign pre-Legal Entity Identifier (p-LEI) codes as of 31 July 2013 and began to allocate these codes both for local and international legal entities applying for LEI allocation.

Takasbank is allocating p-LEI codes for both local and foreign applicant legal entities according to ISO 17442 standards.The legal institutions having already obtained the code from authorized institutions in another country can transfer these codes to Takasbank upon their request.

Takasbank completed all technical infrastructure studies regarding LEI operations to be executed via the related web site. From now on, legal entities residing in or outside Turkey can execute their LEI application, transfer, inquiry, monitoring, update, payment and similar operations via www.LeiTurkey.com in a swift and efficient manner.
