The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) celebrated, on Tuesday May 11, 2010,   the launching of the Professional Certificates Program for persons working in companies operating in the field of Securities.
The inauguration was held at the Businessmen Hall in the Capital Market Authority (CMA) building under the auspices of His Excellency Yahya bin Said Al- Jabri, the CEO of the Capital Market Authority.
This program shall boost the competence and capabilities of brokers and financial analyst operating in Oman capital market. It is targeting all persons working in companies operating in the field of Securities. It benefits the brokers, financial analyst, consultants, portfolios and investment funds managers as well as the front and back offices of brokerage companies. 
 “There are ongoing processes by the CMA and MSM for developing the Stock Market” said Mr. Ahmed Al-Marhoon the Director General of Muscat Securities Market. He further stated “the instability of the international economy during the last few years caused a decline on investment in securities; we are therefore planning to provide training programs to persons working in companies operating in the field of Securities to cope with the current economic scenarios . It is our belief that the development of persons working in companies operating in the field of securities would enhance the investor’s confidence on the stock market”
