Women to Ring the Bell on March 8

Independent Woman Directors project is aimed at facilitating it for companies to find female board members and eliminating the hurdles for female directors. The project also represents the Global Board Ready Women, an initiative of 100 leading universities, in Turkey. The database including Turkish female directors, created as part of the project carried out with Financial Times will be made available for examination by the chairmen of European companies, on March 8 for a period of two months. On the same day, BoardEx, a members-only database, will be opened for woman directors.

Borsa İstanbul is among the first signatories of the Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative and by inviting Independent Woman Directors to ring the opening bell on the Women’s Day, İMKB once again underlines the importance of women’s taking part in decision-making mechanisms in terms of sustainable finance and sustainable development.
